SafeAds legal information

Terms of use and privacy

Last updated: September 21, 2026

These terms explain the conditions governing SafeAds and, in plain language, the information we process when an agency and its members use the extension and dashboard.

1. Who we are and acceptance

SafeAds is a browser extension and web platform that helps agencies and marketing teams review advertising campaign settings before publication.

By accessing or using SafeAds, the user and the agency that enabled the account accept these terms. If they disagree, they must stop using the service, sign out and uninstall the extension.

2. Service availability

SafeAds is available to agencies and marketing teams through its current plans. The service receives updates and improvements and may become temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.

SafeAds is a preventive control layer. It does not guarantee that a campaign is correct, that an advertising platform will approve it or that every error will be prevented. The final review and publication decision remain the responsibility of the user and agency.

3. Accounts, roles and access

Accounts are created or enabled for authorised agency members. Each person must use their own credentials, keep them confidential and promptly report unauthorised access.

SafeAds uses roles to limit available functions. Agency administrators are responsible for keeping membership current and disabling people who should no longer have access.

4. Agency and user responsibilities

  • Be authorised to manage the advertising accounts and client information used with SafeAds.
  • Tell agency members that SafeAds validates settings and retains certain summaries and logs.
  • Avoid entering unnecessary personal, sensitive or confidential information, especially in notes and free-text fields.
  • Keep users, roles, clients and advertising accounts current.
  • Use Microsoft Teams only in authorised channels and workspaces.
  • Verify every campaign setting before publication.

5. Information we process

SafeAds may process the following categories of information:

  • User account: name, email, role, agency, status and internal identifiers; telephone number if supplied by the agency.
  • Authentication: email and password sent to Supabase Auth, plus session tokens stored locally in the browser. SafeAds does not retain the password in readable form.
  • Agency and clients: names, country, currency, notes, members, assignments and validation rules.
  • Advertising accounts: external identifier, name, associated client, platform, time zone, currency, country and operating settings.
  • Information visible in Meta Ads Manager that is necessary for the product: account, campaign name, editor stage, budget mode and level, daily or total budget, currency, dates and times, current screen URL and action performed.
  • Publication summaries: agency, client, user, account, campaign, budgets, currency, dates, URL, event source and creation date.
  • Audit and security: action, affected entity, date, user, IP address, user-agent and minimum operation metadata.
  • Microsoft Teams: agency configuration and webhook, together with summary data sent when the integration is enabled.

6. Information we do not seek to collect

SafeAds does not seek to collect personal messages, audiences or contact lists, payment card data, health information, precise location, screenshots, screen recordings or general browsing history outside supported sites.

SafeAds does not request or store the user's Meta account password.

7. How we use information

SafeAds does not sell data, use it for personalised advertising, commercialise databases or use agency or campaign information to train artificial intelligence models.

  • Authenticate users and enforce permissions.
  • Manage agencies, clients, members, accounts and rules.
  • Validate settings and show warnings before publication.
  • Create and display publication summaries.
  • Send Microsoft Teams notifications requested by the agency.
  • Maintain audit trails, prevent abuse, investigate incidents and provide support.
  • Meet applicable legal obligations.

8. Temporary validations and stored summaries

While a campaign is being edited, the extension sends the values required to compare it with agency rules. A normal validation is used to return warnings and does not by itself create a permanent summary.

When a user publishes or uses the send-summary function, SafeAds stores that summary so authorised users from the same agency can view it in the dashboard.

9. Access, providers and transfers

Information may be viewed by authorised members of the same agency according to their role. Authorised SafeAds personnel may access it only when necessary for security, maintenance or support.

SafeAds uses Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel to host and run the dashboard, and Microsoft Teams when an agency voluntarily enables that integration. These providers may process information outside Argentina depending on the region and infrastructure used.

10. Retention and deletion

SafeAds does not currently have one automatic deletion period for every data category. While an agency remains active, its users, clients, accounts, rules, summaries, audit logs and settings may be retained.

An agency or user may request deletion of information that is no longer necessary. Deletion from backups may depend on provider retention cycles and applicable legal or security duties.

Uninstalling the extension removes local information according to browser behaviour, but it does not automatically delete records already sent to the dashboard.

11. Security and agency separation

SafeAds uses HTTPS, token authentication, role-based access control, database access restrictions, audit logs and logical separation between agencies. Users from one agency must not access another agency's information.

No system can guarantee absolute security. Unauthorised access or a possible incident must be reported immediately through the contact email at the end of these terms.

12. Individual rights and control

People may request information, access, correction, updating or deletion of their data, as well as account closure. SafeAds may request information to verify identity and, where an account was created by an agency, coordinate the request with its administrator.

A user may also sign out, disable or uninstall the extension at any time.

13. Limited use and third-party platforms

SafeAds uses information obtained through the extension exclusively to provide and improve its visible campaign control and validation features. Use is limited to the purposes disclosed and is intended to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

SafeAds is an independent product and is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Meta, Google, Microsoft or other advertising platforms. Use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms and policies.

14. Intellectual property and permitted use

SafeAds software, design, brand and documentation belong to their respective owners. Access to the service grants a limited, revocable and non-transferable permission to use the service for the agency's internal purposes.

Users may not copy, resell, sublicense, seek unauthorised access, interfere with the service or use SafeAds for unlawful or undisclosed purposes.

15. Suspension, changes and termination

SafeAds may suspend accounts in response to security risks, misuse or breach of these terms. It may also change or discontinue features and will seek to communicate material changes.

These terms may be updated when the product, providers or applicable requirements change. The current version will show its latest update date.

16. Governing law and contact

These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Argentine Republic, without limiting rights that may apply in other jurisdictions.
